Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre is the place to ski and board in the West of Scotland. In Bellahouston Park, only minutes away from central Glasgow, you will find a club with a modern floodlit dry slope, unrivalled instruction, and snowsport activities for every taste. You need not be a member to learn to ski with us, use our hire and service facilities, enrol in holiday ski schools, or book a children’s ski birthday party. Once you get hooked, however, you’ll want to join for the free use of the slope, the varied snowsport activities, the social events and club holidays, and discounts and priorities you’ll find listed on the membership page.
We are holding a quiz night on Friday 9th May, starting at 8pm. Teams may have up to six people and participation is charged at £12 per team.
We will be running our popular Ski and Snowboard Schools for 6 weeks of the Summer holidays. For details of these please see our Ski/Board School page.
Once again the club is planning a New Year trip to Hinterstoder, Austria, flying from Glasgow on 27th December 2008 and returning on 3rd January 2009. The current guide price (depends on price of next season’s lift pass) is £800 adults, £700 under-16s, including flights, transfers and accommodation (half-board) and lift pass. Booking forms and further details are available from the club office, and deposits of £120 per person will be required,
A major development of facilities at Glasgow Ski & Snowboard Centre will take place over the summer months. The Club has been awarded a £200,000 sports lottery grant, which it will use to add a new free-ride slope to the three slopes we currently have, and to increase the teaching area on our intermediate slope by 50%. We shall also be able to install a new lift on our main slope, and this will improve access for disabled snowsports enthusiasts. Further plans are for a larger ski store, new office and reception, first aid room, workshop, meeting room and instructors’ changing room, as well as increasing the size of our clubhouse and spectators’ viewing area. The centre will open as normal during this development.
